Manatee Surfacing
For Breath of Air

When a manatee surfaces, its two large nostrils open and the animal sucks in air, sounding much like a dolphin.

When it dives, the nostrils close. Like most marine mammals, the manatee's heartbeat slows when it submerges, decreasing from around 50 to 60 heartbeats a minute to around 30.
