Flamingo Tour Boats

Unless you trailered your own boat or want to rent a canoe/kayak, taking a boat tour is the only way to see those parts of the Everglades you'll never glimpse when driving the road . And that's most of the Everglades.

The tours leave from the Flamingo Marina year-round. The backcountry cruise lasts for two-hours into the mangrove forest and is the best way to see wildlife such as hawks, alligators and manatees.

The Florida Bay tour is a 90-minute tour through the marine feeding and nursery grounds of Florida Bay aboard the Bald Eagle. A sunset cruise also is available.

Both tours are offered daily with more frequent departures from mid-December to mid-April. The number of visitors drops off during the warmer, wetter and more mosquito-filled months.
