Shark Valley Observation Tower
The main goal for everyone taking the tram road is to ascend the 65-foot tall Observation Tower with a ramp spiraling up to a platform where, on a clear day, you can see for about 20 miles.
The view is terrific and a good place to stitch together a 360-degree panorama. You may need to be the last to leave the observation tower to take such a photo.
Beneath the tower are restrooms, a water fountain and an unpaved trail that parallels a pond where big alligators often congregate on the path. If they have, turn around.
